Actually the figures I have came from multiple sources. The health
authorities in Australia, New Zealand and the UK have no
financial or other interest in inflating them given that vaccination
is not a chargeable treatment. Indeed costs of H1N1 are already
imposing a  unwanted drain on their financial resources

Ignoring the facts may make you feel good but its not good science.

Keith

Healthy before he got the cold.

I agree with the Fuck Obama part, but his scare tactics are no worse
than Bush's, who terrified America with his propaganda about smallpox,
and later bird flu.

Remember the smallpox hysteria a few years ago?  Al-Qaeda was going to
use smallpox as a bioweapon, which would kill us all because nobody
had been vaccinated in 30 years.   There was some sort of 'crisis'
because pharmaceutical companies refused to manufacture the smallpox
vaccine because they were afraid of being held liable for adverse side-
effects.  This liability crisis caused Congress to grant immunity for
the vaccine manufacturers - not only for the smallpox vaccine but for
ALL vaccines - which just happened to be part of the 'tort reform'
advocated by the Republican party for years.  The U.S. government
stockpiled trillions of doses of the smallpox vaccine (at $100 a pop),
then stopped the national vaccination campaign after President Bush
allegedly received his dose, and we haven't heard a single mention of
smallpox since then.

As for the bird flu that was also going to kill us all, like the
current swine flu it is supposedly treatable with an expensive drug
called Tamiflu made by Roche.  Donald Rumsfeld - Bush's Secretary of
Defense - was the former chairman of a small company called Gilead
that owns the patent for Tamiflu, and which licenses the manufacturing
rights to Roche.  Though no longer chairman, Donald Rumsfeld owns a
substantial stake in the company, and profits from every dose of
Tamiflu sold by Roche.
