terrific game by Stanford. The receivers have held on to everything and they've pushed our D-line around. I'm thinking U$C-tOSU in the Rose Bowl. ugh..........
I know, I know...if we win out we still go but I can see another loss ahead.

Stanford pretty much played a perfect game on both sides of the ball. They got two weeks to get ready for the Ducks and let Oregon blow themselves up by reading their own press clippings and believing them. Chalk this one up as another Oregon team that couldn't take care of business.

If it's any consolation, it's the system that sucks. "Who you beat" turns into "who had the worse loss" in head-to-head, but pretty much anyone outside of the SEC gets unfairly evaluated.
But maybe if you did away with the hideous uniforms and could somehow come up with a major bowl in the north, it would help.

With another loss, Oregon still has the tiebreaker against $C.

Is it possible Little Stooper's U of A could sneak into the Rose Bowel? That would be my worst nightmare--the only thing letting me sleep at night is the warm, snug feeling of knowing that they're the only Pac-10 team that's still never been.

"J.C. Watts Enslin" <jens...@charter.net> laid this on me on 07 Nov 2009 in rec.sport.football.college:

but in a 3 way (or more) tie, all the unknown-to-me tiebreakers come in, depending on whether Orygun's loss is to Zona - and if anyone else finishes with 2 losses. Zona wins out, they go. (or if SC loses again, and Stanford can still win out and finish with 2 losses, etc etc). Make no mistake, Orygun took a gigantic step towards the Emerald Bowl today - and the SC win is looking less impressive as the game in Tempe wears on.
