He's a Bayesian and believes that with no context you cannot formulate a
prior and without a prior you can't do competent analysis. Classical
statisticians don't tend to agree with that. It's a long going
fundamental debate within the profession.
The AP poll basically didn't just cherry pick data it cherry picked
statisticians.
btw, I was not trained as a Bayesian and was a believer in the Classical
approach for a very long time. Over the last 20 years or so my thinking
has been slowly moving more towards the Bayesian approach.
