What Nascar can do to make races interesting again

If this has been discussed before, I haven't seen it. At my local track here in Winston Salem NC (Bowman Gray Stadium) they have a new restart rule in effect this year for the 100 lap modified races. See if you guys like the idea. Instead of the normal single file restart, all cars behind the leader have the option to go to the outside... more »

"Running" Start ?

I seem to recall video of drivers actually running to the cars to start racing...Was this a one-time thing, or was it a common practice? Or am I just delusional? Sean

Bring Tobacco Back

It might be in N's interest to bring back tobacco as a sponsor, most of the fans attending events are smokers and drinkers and hold blue collar jobs. It only makes sense to have sponsorship that best represents the fans.

Race to start finish for caution

I believe N should reinstate racing back to the start finish line when cautions are thrown to set the field running order. I also believe N should up the speed limit on pit road to 65. None of this should impose a problem since the COT is a safer car, more risk can be taken because of it.

Forced Retirement

With all the new and much younger talent coming up through the ranks, a better class of driver is taking seat in the NASCAR premier series, Cup, Nationwide, and Truck. The younger drivers do seem to out perform seasoned drivers. It would seem better for N to have a field of younger age group drivers than a mix of old and young.... more »
