Much less three (or more) references in a row.

So we should address the original poster's actual content? BOGGLE!

There was content?
cd -- The difference between immorality and immortality is "T". I like Earl Grey.

Yes, it grew out of Usenet Rule # -6 .
(Not to be confused with Usenet Rule #6, of course.)

We're beginning to sort out the details. In certain high-CO2 environments that would have occurred on the primitive Earth, the major metabolic pathways that now converge on the TCA cycle go into reverse. That produces an accumulation of complex organic compounds. Cell membranes spontaneously self-assemble from other compounds in the same environment. You also get spontaneous polymerisation of amines and sugars. So the answer seems to be that in some environments, life is a likely outcome of increasing chemical complexity. This is consistent with other evidence that life appeared on the Earth within about 100 million years of the surface becoming tolerable for it.
Life is a natural side-effect of the complexity created by gravitational hierarchies.
