Dear Mr. Quraishi, I enjoy reading your articles immensely - you make me proud to be a Pakistani, and to count you among my compatriots.  There is one thing about Pakistan and patriotism that I have observed: it seems to be the exclusive purview of the armed forces, and middle class expatriates who left solely for economic reasons. As a child, I would often be the lone Pakistani in school; consequently, defending my country was something I did very well. So, at 12 years of age, when we returned to Pakistan and settled down for good, I would struggle to understand the divisive mentality of those born and bred within the boundaries of my great nation. After many bitter years of bowing under the negativity spewed by the people around me, my husband and I came to the conclusion that we needed to change from within in order to change the nation. The fact is that our leaders are from among us, and if they are corrupt and self-serving, it’s because this nation's character is crooked and selfish. To this end, we started a website last year, Take Back Pakistan, and under this banner we have a plan to rebuild our communities and re-educate this nation to love Pakistan.
