Euro May Reach $1.4860 This Week on Risk Appetite, Helaba Says
Nov. 2 (Bloomberg TV) -- The euro may rise to $1.4860 this week as
signs of an economic recovery in the U.S. reduces demand for the
dollar as a refuge, according to Helaba Landesbank Hessen-Thueringen.
“The euro should enjoy a positive start to the week,” Ralf Umlauf,
head of floor research at Helaba in Frankfurt, wrote in a research
note today. “However a disappointment from the U.S. labor market is
possible at the end of the week.”
The currency was at $1.4774 as of 1:30 p.m. in London, from $1.4719 at
the end of last week.
