Hi folks, We're running a little experiment to find out what type of content is important to you guys, but missing from our Help Center. It would be a huge help if you could assist us by either:
A) Noting things that you think should be in the Help Center (http://www.google.com/support/calendar/?hl=en) that either aren't there currently, or you feel the current form is insufficient. B) If you see posts here in the Help Group that do a good job of addressing what you feel may be a gap in the Help Center, flagging those by copying them below.
We thought the easiest way for you to bring up topics that you feel are missing is to describe them below the line following this post, and we can keep a running tally of posts for consideration. If you see a note that you feel is answered by a post in the Help Group, please note that next to the description. Also, please make sure that the topic you'd like to see is not already explained in the Help Center (http://www.google.com/support/calendar/?hl=en) before posting -- this will make sure we can avoid any clutter here :)
Try it out, and if you think of an easier way to tag content, let me know. At the end of this experiment, we'll check out the points you guys raise, and see if it makes sense to continue this process and/or start to add any of the content to the Help Center. Thanks for your help in this experiment -- looking forward to seeing your submissions!
Cheers,

A direct way to contact the help center that provides answers. The forum posts go unanswered and there is a lot of frustration out there. ------------------------------------- You should include some info regarding the frequency that external
calendar feeds are updated (or not as the case may be!). I have seen no
answer to any of the various threads reporting this problem. The most
recent thread being: ---------------------------------- What's missing? A *&%! phone number. I like the new color sceme in gmail but I hate the changes in calendar. Stop making all my appointments hang in space, it's better for me when they stack up. I couldn't find ANYWHERE to say so. No human live contact. - Cynthea from Vermont ----------------------------------
There is no way to turn off automatically timed syncing. I just want it to sync when I tell it to. - mike from texas ----------------------------------
A central place for listing what's been fixed or enhanced each day - Katya from Florida --------------------------------- A central place listing the major 'bugs' that the most users comment on, and what Google is doing to address them. For instance, the time zone bug is a real pain, and it is preventing me from setting up the calendar for use with our Association. I would like to know when the bug will be addressed. - Jim from Victoria. ---------------------------------
more calDAV infos. i currently have a problem with ical - gcal (gcal automatically sets an ORGANIZER, when creating an event in ical) and there is now way of a) getting rid of that, or b) editing those events (tried EVERYTING, also incl. adding the email to my ME card...) - peter currently from Berlin ----------------------------------------- Please tell us how to overcome the recent iCal/Calaboration error that keeps telling us that we have the wrong login info! This bug also repeats every 5 mins or so. There are no help topics that address this issue. The only help is a discussion group that is full of many people experiencing the same issue, but there are no fixes! Thanks. ~Tony from Cali ---------------------------------- A pretty glaring omission from the Google Calendar Help troubleshooter is that there's no true "Other" option. There's an "Other" category in the hierarchy on the left, but that contains two random items, with no further "Other" available! Which do you guys prefer... bug reports be miscategorized just so people can get to the actual contact form, or not reported at all ? Thanks. --Terry from CA ________________________ I have now been ardent fan of google products because of its ease and simplicity. I have recently created a group for my people. We have meetings and files like ppt, xls, doc, pdf to share. I dont know if this is the right forum to ask if these can been incorporated in google groups. For example, if there is google calendar and google documents sharing mechanism within google groups. - Jay from India. --------------------------------------------- I would like more details on sharing. After I've shared a calendar with someone, and given him permission to edit events, what happens next? How does the person with whom I've shared get into my calendar?
