Take a letter's position in the alphabet and multiply by NINE.

A = 1 x 9 = 9
B = 2 x 9 = 18
C = 3 x 9 = 27
D = 4 x 9 = 36
E = 5 x 9 = 45
 etc, etc.

So...

J  =   90
E  =   45
S  =  171
U  =  189
S  =  171

Add them up and ...

     666

Saw this years ago.  It is nothing new - or at least not new to me.
NUMBER IN SCRIPTURE by E.W.Bullinger states that (the BIBLE); (page 150)
Six is either 4 plus 2, i.e., man's world with man's enmity to God brought
in; or it is 5 plus 1, the grace of God made of none effect by man's
addition to it, or perversion, or corruption of it; or it is 7 minus 1,
i.e., man's coming short of spiritual perfection.  In any case, therefore,
it has to do with man; it is the number of imperfection; the numan number;
the number of man as destitute of God, without God, with Christ.

Nope. Microsoft in ASCII apparently works out to 666 (or so I've been told).

I've never bothered to work it out myself.
