Thank You. I usually ignore BDays. But I am taking the day off to go to the county fair. =) I volunteered to sit with the photography exhibit for a couple of hours instead of working. Have to check out the competition. I hear I got 3 firsts, a second and 2 honorable mentions out of my 8 entries.
I had one more but can not remember what else I entered...
We all got beat out by my friend's 7 year old granddaughter for best in show out of over 800 photos. First time anyone from the youth division won BIS. No more letting the twins use our cameras instead of their little fisher price ones when I am around...;-)

Hell I just use a fairly cheap point and shoot. =)
A panasonic FZ50. It is 10 megapixels with a 12X optical with IS which is about equal to a 300 mm even though they say 420...but set at 5 mgp it is 17X optical.

my Canon body only cost $300...another $85 for a 50mm f1.8 autofocus lens and $15 for a Canon t-adapater to hook up to my 80mm/500mm FL...my 'other' telescope is really just enough to mount a camera on to track the sky motion...father-in-law bought it at Costco($100,the eyepieces that came with it were worth $50) when I had to sell all my Astro equipment including my LX200 10" fl2500mm that was great for astrophotography... I just about ready to catch some photons again...on the cheap this time ;-)

Aw, how thoughtful...thanks, Vic!
:::whisper::: It will be...great, that is---- tomorrow. Former FBI Agents Mulder and Scully have reunited just for the occasion. Pity the fools I'm forcing to join me at my "celebration." ;^)
