I generally like the LLS and it's interesting to see this video, but IMO that song works better as the short version seen on TV, especially with that cheesy modulation at the end of the long version.
Here are the lyrics, for those who'd like to sing along: LYRICS: It's hard to stay up, it's been a long, long day and you've got the sandman at your door But hang on, leave the TV on and lets do it anyway It's okay, you can always sleep through work tomorrow, okay Hey, hey, tomorrows just your future yesterday
Tell the clock on the wall, "forget the wake-up call" 'cause the night's not nearly through Wipe the sleep from your eyes, give yourself a surprise, let you worries wait another day And if you stay too late at the bar, at least you made it up this far So make up your mind and say lets do it anyway It's okay, you can always sleep through work tomorrow, okay Hey, hey, tomorrows just your future yesterday
Lifes too short to worry about the things that you can live without And I regret to say the morning light is hours away The world can be such a fright but it belongs to us tonight What's the point of going to bed? You look so lovely when your eyes are red
Tomorrow's just your future yesterday
The world can be such a fright but it belongs to us tonight Whats the point of going to bed? You look so lovely when your eyes are red
It's hard to stay up, it's been a long, long day and youve got the sandman at your door But hang on, leave the TV on and lets do it anyway It's okay, you can always sleep through work tomorrow, okay Hey, hey, tomorrow's just your future yesterday Tomorrow's just your future yesterday
Thanks much to Donz and Shirlee for the video and lyrics.
I do agree with Steve that the shorter version works better. Maybe this version is for long credits. I was really impressed when this debuted earlier this fall.
I think Craig's one of the most naturally funny people on earth. I wish I could watch him more, but I get to watch the "Late Show" twice in order to write the episode log before I start nodding off.
Is it bad that I love the puppet shows so much? He had a snail puppet on last night. The monkey puppet makes me laugh the most.

> Me too!!!! If I'm ever in a coma and somebody plays that > "Watadoo, watadoo.....", I'll snap right out of it with a smile!
At the supermarket earlier this week, the cashier lady asked if I wanted to redeem whatever credits I had accumulated on my little card. I smiled and said, "D'uh," and she got the humor. I then asked if "D'uh" was so passé by now that the kids have replaced it for something newer, like "Watadoo." Her eyes perked up and laughed.
