  I&#39;m having the same problem on my Blackberry Curve (Verizon) - &lt;br&gt; purchased Nov 5. Could it be a Verizon problem? Got a text message &lt;br&gt; from Verizon about a firmware update, which I will download and hope &lt;br&gt; it fixes it. Will let you know.

  This is also my biggest complaint. I tried out the T-mobile G1 and it &lt;br&gt; had a &lt;br&gt; nice interface for doing this. Hopefully they are working on adapting &lt;br&gt; that &lt;br&gt; interface to a non-touchscreen interface.

Keys make normal beeping sound, just nothing ever

  I downloaded and successfully installed Gmal for Mobile on my BB. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;From the Main Profile menu, I can see that there is a Gmail - New Mail &lt;br&gt; option which I have set the corresponding ring tones to. However, it &lt;br&gt; still does not alert me of new messages, instead I have to manually &lt;br&gt; access my Gmail to know that a new message is waiting in my Inbox.
