Contacts/Chat list???

HELP!!!! PLEASE!!!!

I no longer have the chat list of contacts showing up on the left side
of my screen!
I have been all over settings and help feature to no avail!!
Does anyone know if this is a result of the new "Improved" g-mail?
Also, I can no longer get g-mail in standard view----only html!

I just ran into this problem on another computer, this time a mac-
mini. This one seems to exhibit what Justin calls problem number 3
(neither I nor the other person can see me, but we both can see the

i have a problem about using the Ubuntu version while open my Gmail.
This allow me to chat only i can't view my friends webcam and use the
microphone.

I'm happy to report that my problem was also #2 (running out of shared
memory) which was being caused by postgresql. I reduced the number of
connections that postgres is using and am now running it happily while
using video chat.

That is what the Spam folder is for to collect the spam junk
mail. keep them out of your inbox.

If you are using Firefox 3 the chat is not available on the older

Yesterday Gmail switched to a "new version". I dislike it for a
number of reason, notably that it makes all items on-screen smaller.

I searched for a specific contact in the field below "contacts," found
the contact, mouse over to "view profile." View profile just reveals
the name & the gchat status msg, which is completely useless. I can

Hi,

I'm keeping having issues with this web cam. Is there anybody that
managed to have it working with A/V Gmail chat ?
I do see the proper signal but if I try to verify in the settings-
the browser will crash right away (both IE 6+ and Firefox 3.X
actually).
The drivers I'm using are v1.02.06 and i couldnt find new ones.

Hm?? After not detecting despite restarts and reinstalls, this morning
the webcam was recognized, w/o my doing anything. I just left the
computer on overnight and this morning the webcam was recognized.
Maybe Google-sprites read our dialogue and fixed it???
